I am Rob Powell.  I live at 802 Main at the corner of Cedar (Y-Highway) and Main.

I am running for Belton Ward 4 councilperson.  If you are in Ward 4 (see map), I would appreciate your vote.

Ward  4 seems to be the largest and most diverse of Belton's wards.  It runs  from the very south boundary of Belton (south of Cambridge Road) north  to 155th Street on the border with Grandview.  Ward 4 also includes most  of the businesses along North Avenue (M-58).

Although businesses cannot vote, you CAN!  Please register to vote via the button on my website next to the plea "VOTE".

Lots  of people (until recently, including me) think the mayor runs Belton.   However, look closely at the image above and you'll notice that YOU run  Belton!  And, although the mayor does a lot of the ceremonial stuff in  town (showing up for business openings) his vote is equal to the votes  of city council members.

Again,  YOU run Belton!  A message to me (once, and if, I'm elected) is just  like a message directly to the mayor or any other council member.  You  can also bypass all of that level and contact the city manager,  department heads, or city employees.  YOU ARE THE BOSS!

If  you have had a complaint in the past and got nowhere with it, I  emphathize with you.  I've had the same experience.  And now I've  decided that maybe I'm missing something, and really a city  councilperson DOES have some advantage.

So,  let's find out together!  Please help elect me in April, 2021, and I'll  try as much as I can to keep you informed of the business of Belton  RIGHT HERE!  I can't guarantee I'll always be able to satisfy your  concern, but I do promise if I can't I'll tell you why and try to  suggest an alternative.
